About the Chapter

The Central Florida Chapter #41 of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is a not-for-profit entity organized for the primary purpose of fraud deterrence and detection, and fostering the skills of our members in such disciplines of accounting, auditing, criminology, management, investigation, law and ethics.

Our chapter’s mission is to provide the education of its members and guests for the improvement and development of their capabilities and tools in the investigation of possible fraud and illegal acts. The chapter is trying to expand the knowledge and the awareness of not only its membership but also the general public about the many faces of fraud in the business community. By increasing the awareness about fraud, our members will be able to provide their services to their clients or their employers in preventing and detecting fraud.

We want our members to benefit not only from the educational tools we can provide through our monthly meetings and annual seminar but also from the networking opportunities from attending our meetings. Our chapter is constantly scheduling the best speakers who will keep our members up to date on the most current fraud prevention and detection issues to help each member in their job.

Our chapter has been a member of the worldwide organization of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) for many years; however, our membership and our services have been very limited during that time. Within the past year, there has been increased interest by new members who are developing and expanding the chapter. The new chapter will to provide all members in the Central Florida Area with a resource that they can rely on without having to spend their valuable time traveling to different parts of the state to attend meetings for educational and networking opportunities.
